There are a lot of spiritual battles I face daily, but none greater than praying.  The invisible world of darkness fights to keep me off my knees.  Not that I don’t pray continually throughout the day, but it is the battle to have that alone time with Him!  Upon reading verse 2,   “Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath!”  I am reminded that there are times that the Lord is more ready to listen than I am to pray!

He hears my voice!  I have been truely overwhelmed by sorrow and troubles causing me to lie spread-eagle on the floor and cry out as the Psalmist:  “Please, Lord, save me!”  This kind, good and merciful God saved me from my trouble!

May I stand as a testimony to verse 6?

“The Lord protects those of childlike faith;”star_full

I could stand on the rooftop and shout it:  “The Lord protects those of childlike faith;”  I have fallen into His arms, then go to face a trial and He led me through it.  It’s not the faith…it’s the object of the faith that matters.  It is simple trust in our kind, good and merciful God!  There is no other religion which can boast of a God like this — there is no other!

Let my soul be at rest again,
for the Lord has been good to me.
He has saved me from death,
      my eyes from tears,
      my feet from stumbling.
And so I walk in the Lord’s presence
as I live here on earth!
