I will extol you, my God and King and bless your name forever and ever. Every day I will bless you and praise your name forever and ever. (Psalm 145:1-2)

It is not unusual, in fact it becomes common, to address God as God.  It is easy to do the same thing with the term King.

“I will extol you, my God and King and bless your name forever and ever.”

I meditate on the idea of blessing God and His name.  I think about how God blesses me in tangible ways with material things and relationships.  Yet how do I bless Him?  Within the reading it appears my blessings to God come through my lips from my heart.  I adore Him for who He is.  He becomes my everything. I cannot exist without Him.  He is almighty, knows everything, with me wherever I go.  There is none like Him.

All of a sudden in my mind, God returns to His rightful place of being bigger than any problems I have!
